Meet Stephanie Clubb: A Fellow Silent Struggler

I know what it’s like to hold the world on your shoulders while you’re disappearing underneath it. For a long time, I was the one who had it all together — until I realized that 'together' wasn't sustainable. That journey is why I do this work.

The People I'm Best Equipped to Sit With

The Go-To Person: You’re the one everyone else leans on, and you're tired of putting yourself last.

The Quiet Code: You are highly capable on the outside, but you're carrying a history or a mental load that no one else sees — and you're tired of the isolation that comes with keeping it all together.

The Over-Thinker: You’ve read the books and you know the "why" behind your patterns, but you're ready to move past just understanding your story and start actually feeling different.

Ready for Something to Shift: You are insightful and self-aware, but you’ve hit a ceiling with how far "thinking your way out" can take you, and you’re ready to reclaim your life.

Ready for Realness: You’re looking for more than a blank wall; you want a therapist who offers honesty, direct feedback, and a real human presence.

Expertise Born from Real Rooms and Real Stories

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years in the field, I’ve sat with people on some of the hardest days of their lives.

Domestic Violence Advocate — in a shelter, courtrooms, and the community

Crisis Hotline — Supporting domestic and sexual violence survivors

Schools — Working with children and youth as a school-based therapist

Medical Settings — a high-risk pregnancy clinic, ICUs, and end of life

Therapy Without the Blank Stare

I’ve seen firsthand how a world of difference is made when someone feels truly seen and supported. That’s why I’m an active therapist rather than a silent observer. In our sessions, I engage with you through honest thoughts and intentional questions because I believe that genuine care and curiosity — and even a little humor — is what creates the safety needed for real change to happen.

Therapy Modalities

You might not be all that interested in the specific therapy models I draw from — and that’s okay. What usually matters most is how therapy feels and whether you feel supported. Still, if you’re curious, I pull from the following evidence‑based approaches that help us understand patterns, build new skills, and create real change.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Rather than fighting against difficult thoughts and feelings, we learn to make room for them while taking steps toward a life that aligns with your values.

Benefit: Helps you live with purpose, not just pressure.

Relational Therapy

Using the connection we build in the room to help you navigate and heal your relationships outside of it.

Benefit: Helps you build more secure, honest connections outside the therapy room.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

A practical approach to identifying and shifting the unhelpful thought patterns — like the 'inner critic' or perfectionist — that contribute to anxiety and burnout.

Benefit: Helps you stop the spiral.

Motivational Interviewing

A collaborative conversation designed to help you get unstuck by exploring the mixed feelings you might have about change.

Benefit: Helps you find the internal "spark" to get unstuck and move forward.

Strengths-Based
Therapy

Shift the focus from what is 'wrong' with you to the inherent resilience and internal resources you already possess to navigate life’s challenges.

Benefit: Helps increase self-esteem, self-effiicacy,  and positive outlook.

Mindfulness Strategies

Tools to help you quiet the 'internal alarm' and reconnect with your body and surroundings when everything feels like too much.

Benefit: Helps you find a "pause button" when your nervous system feels hijacked.

Therapy is personal and shouldn't be one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for another. Let's figure out what works for you.

The Beginnings of Wander and Rise Wellness

There was a chapter in my life where I was at my dream job, but inside I was unraveling. I was exhausted, angry, confused, and reacting in ways that weren't like me. I kept doing everything I was “supposed” to do — showing up, seeking support, practicing self‑care — but 6 months in, I was worse than ever. I was used to pushing through hard times, until suddenly I couldn’t anymore, not if I wanted to get better.

Eventually, I had to get honest with myself. I stepped back for the first time instead of pushing forward, and it forced me to face some difficult truths about myself, my well-being, and my career. That period became a kind of wandering — putting one foot in front of the other even when I didn’t know where it would lead.

Despite all of that, I held onto my belief in resiliency — the ability to recover from dark places that life can take you. That’s where the idea of Wander & Rise came from. It reflects my own recovery and the work I now do with people who are struggling.
